WASHINGTON (SBG) — KFC could soon be throwing its hat into the ring with a new, "premium" chicken sandwich.

Joining big chicken sandwich names like Chick-fil-A and Popeyes, the food chain would replace the "Crispy Colonel" sandwich for the "KFC Chicken Sandwich."

The difference? The new sandwich has a larger, extra crispy chicken filet on a buttered brioche bun. It'll be topped with pickles and customers can choose from spicy, or classic, mayonnaise.

The new menu option is currently only being tested at locations in Orlando, Florida for the next month. If the sandwich does well, KFC could quickly roll out the new sandwich at all 4,000 of its U.S. locations.
